Significant Event
- Malaysian state oil company Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has started inviting bids for its upstream assets in Africa, which could fetch as much as US$3 billion.
- The People's Bank of China actively lowering its interest rate over the last few weeks.
- Keppel Corp is acquiring an 80% interest in 800 Super Holdings, a Singapore environmental services company for SGD 304 million.
- 45% stake in Metta Food & Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, the operator of Chef Wan Restaurants had been sold for RM 20 million.

Real Estate Industry
- UDA Holdings Bhd has inked a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with BBCC Development Sdn Bhd to purchase a hotel building here in Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) for RM 295 million.
- Matrix Concept, a Seremban-based property developer is buying 1,382 acres of land located at Labu, Negeri Sembilan from Sime Darby Bhd for RM 460 million.
- Bangi Resort & Development Corp Sdn Bhd is looking for a buyer for a piece of 22 acres of leasehold land located at Bangi Business Park Zone 4, Sekyen 9 for RM 300 per sqft.
Infrastructure/Logistics
- Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd will start producing 60,000 tonnes of melamine per annum by 2024 with the commissioning of Petronas Chemicals Fertiliser Kedah Sdn Bhd (PCFK) complex located in Gurun, Kedah.
Cash Call/ Debt restructuring/Restructuring/Proposed Listing
- Axiata Group Bhd, the parent company of Celcom Malaysia is planning to extend the tenure of some short-term debts, which are set to mature in two years, to maturities of 3 to 10 years.
Company Expansion Plan/ Capex Plan
- BP Plastic is acquiring a piece of 4 acres land for RM 14.9 million for its expansion plan.
