Malaysia LNG Force Majeure, 8 Conlay Updates, Metro Holdings snapping UK Property

Significant Event

  • Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd, majority owned by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), has declared force majeure on liquefied natural gas supplies to its customers due to a leakage on the Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline. With a total LNG capacity of 25.7 million tonnes per annum, the Malaysia LNG project is one of the largest LNG facilities in a single location in the world. The project's customers include Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China.
  • GDB Holdings Bhd, the contractor for 8 Conlay is suing developer KSK Land Sdn Bhd to recover RM120.69 million that the builder claims is the sum it is owed by KSK Land's unit.
  • Sembcorp Marine had been awarded a USD 3.05 billion contract from Petrobras.


Real Estate Industry 

  • EC World Reit is disposing its China properties.
  • Metro Holdings is acquiring UK Property, taking advantage of the weak Pound.
  • Abandoned project developed by Mammoth Empire has been taken up by Comintal Corp Bhd and HCK Capital Group Bhd.


Cash Call/ Debt restructuring/Restructuring/Proposed Listing

  • NCT Alliance Bhd, a property developer that is involved in developing real estate on Genting Highlands is proposing a private placement to raise up to RM48.37 million to fund property development activities and for working capital. The proposed private placement entails the issuance of up to 120.93 million new shares, representing 10% of total issued shares @ 40 sen per placement share.


Privatization

  • Asian Healthcare Specialists had received a Voluntary Conditional Cash offer from Lim Wai Mun, founder, CEO and chairman of Doctor Anywhere @ SGD 0.188 per share.
  • Crane leasing company, MS Holdings Ltd has received a Voluntary Unconditional Cash offer from Kingswin Investment Pte Ltd @ SGD 0.07 per share.
