Despite the Malaysian government removing the subsidies on cooking oil, chicken, and egg, things may not be so bad.

All the prices of agricultural commodities such as wheat, corn, soybean, and crude palm oil are falling. Some are even back to the price level prior to the Ukraine- Russia war.

Corn and Soybean are used to feed chickens and produce meat chicken and eggs. Crude Palm Oil is used to produce cooking oil.

The recent fall in agricultural commodities prices will give us some space to breathe for our increasing cost of living.
