CORPORATE EVENTS

1. Sino Hua-An had exited the coal metallurgical coke manufacturing business by disposing of PIPO Overseas Ltd for RMB 88 million.
2. 
Karex Bhd had acquired the remaining 30% stake in US-based Global Protection Corp for RM 42 million via issuance of new shares.
3. Another listed company is venturing into the business of glove manufacturing. This time, it's Salcon Bhd.
4. IHH Healthcare Bhd disposed of an Indian JV for RM 227 million to Apollo Hospitals.


PROPERTY NEWS

1. Tropicana Corp Bhd acquire 308 acres of land located at Genting Highlands from YTL Land at a price of RM 402 million
2. PMB Technology acquired a property development project located at Sungai Besi for RM 30 million.
3. MRCB Quill REIT sold Quill Building 5 @ Cyberjaya for RM 45 million
4. City Villa Hotel, located at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman was transacted at RM 24 million.

 
INDUSTRY NEWS

1. The price of soybean is charting new highs. However, open position data from CFTC shows that traders are closing their position.
2. MPOB Data shows that palm oil inventory is at a multi-year low. 
3. Although palm oil inventory is at a multi-year low, we noticed that the latest month's palm oil export is losing its steam. 
4. BNM Data shows that Malaysia M1 is still growing fast, it also means there is plenty of liquidity in the market.
