- The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) has engaged with Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd due to increasing public complaints against the e-commerce company first and last mile delivery services. (Read More)
- Keppel Infrastructure Trust is disposing of the Australian subsidiary, Basslink to APA Group for AUD 773 million. Basslink owns a power transmission cable connecting Tasmania and Victoria State.
- Advanced Info Service (AIS), Singtel's Thai associate, has received approval updates to the acquisition of Triple T Broadband (TTT) and Jasmine Broadband Internet Infrastructure Fund (JASIF) for THB 19.5 billion.
Real Estate Industry
- Golden Land Bhd, a plantation company is planning to develop terrace houses at Karak, Pahang after acquiring a piece of 19.81-acre land for RM 9.91 million.
Infrastructure/Logistics
- Keck Seng Malaysia Bhd, a plantation company that owns large tracts of freehold land in Johor Bahru is allocating 20 acres of its land to the Pasir Gudang City Council to facilitate the development of a new administrative centre in the city.
Cash Call/ Debt restructuring/Restructuring/Proposed Listing
- Property Developer Tanco Holdings Bhd is raising RM 47.7 million via a private placement for repayment of bank borrowings and investments in complementary businesses.
Privatization
- Waste Management firm, Colex Holdings had received a privatisation offer from Bonvest Holdings @ 23 cents per share.
- Informatics Education Ltd has received a privatisation offer from Berjaya Land at S$0.011 in cash for each of the remaining IEL shares and S$0.0001 per warrant.
- Stella Holdings Bhd had received a notice of an unconditional mandatory takeover offer at 95 sen a share from joint offerors Varia Engineering & Services Sdn Bhd, Datuk Lau Beng Wei and Datuk Lau Beng Sin.
Company Expansion Plan/ Capex Plan
- Paris Baguette, a global bakery chain owned by the SPC Group of South Korea, will invest RM130 million to develop its first global halal manufacturing food hub in Johor Bahru. The facility will be able to produce up to 11 tonnes of frozen dough a day with seven production lines.
